The Stainless Steel 310S Round Bars and Rods are made from a low-carbon variant of the 310 alloy, featuring chromium (24–26%), nickel (19–22%), and a maximum carbon content of 0.08%. This unique composition enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion post-welding while still offering outstanding oxidation resistance at temperatures reaching up to 1100°C. In terms of mechanical properties, these bars boast a tensile strength of around 75 ksi (515 MPa), a yield strength close to 30 ksi (205 MPa), and an elongation of about 40%. The alloy also exhibits good creep resistance and strength when subjected to thermal stress.
