The Carbon Steel EN-36C Bars are alloy steel bars that contain about 0.12–0.18% carbon, 3.0–3.75% nickel, 0.9–1.2% chromium, along with trace amounts of molybdenum and manganese. This specific blend allows the steel to be carburized, resulting in a hard, wear-resistant outer layer while maintaining a tough and ductile core. After undergoing case hardening, EN-36C bars can achieve surface hardness levels of up to 62 HRC, with tensile strength surpassing 850 MPa. They also boast good fatigue strength and impact resistance, even in extreme operating conditions. The combination of deep case hardness and core toughness makes EN-36C an excellent choice for precision components that endure high dynamic loads.
