Nitronic 60 Bars and Rods consist of about 16–18% chromium, 8–9% nickel, 4–5% manganese, along with some silicon and nitrogen, with iron making up the rest. This alloy is non-magnetic and boasts a yield strength that’s nearly double that of 304 and 316 stainless steel. It has a tensile strength ranging from approximately 700–900 MPa and maintains excellent wear resistance, even in unlubricated conditions. Nitronic 60 also performs admirably at elevated temperatures, reaching up to 980°C, and offers good resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
