The Stainless Steel 317 Hollow Bar is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel that features 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, 3–4% molybdenum, and a carbon content of up to 0.08%. This unique blend offers remarkable resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and general chemical attacks, especially in acidic and chloride-rich environments. Its typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength of about 75 ksi (515 MPa), a yield strength close to 30 ksi (205 MPa), and an elongation of roughly 35–40%.
