Tantalum R05200 is a commercially pure grade of tantalum, boasting a minimum tantalum content of 99.95% and free from significant alloying elements. It includes trace amounts of O, N, C, H, Fe, Mo, Nb, and W, all tightly regulated to maintain purity. This grade showcases excellent ductility, with a tensile strength ranging from 207 to 345 MPa, yield strength between 138 and 275 MPa, and elongation of 25 to 40%, depending on how it’s processed. R05200 retains its mechanical strength and formability even at high temperatures and offers exceptional resistance to nearly all acidic environments, including hydrochloric and sulfuric acid.
