Stainless Steel 316 Square Bars and Rods consist of iron, chromium 16-18%, nickel 10-14%, and molybdenum 2-3%. Molybdenum resistance prevents significant attacks by chlorides and acids. Mechanical properties are a tensile strength of 515-700 MPa, yield strength of 205-290 MPa, and excellent ductility. The bars and rods also exhibit good formability, weldability, and pitting and crevice corrosion resistance.
