Stainless Steel 420 Square Bars and Rods contain the major constituent of 12-14% chromium along with small quantities of carbon, manganese, silicon, and nickel. This particular composition gives outstanding hardness as well as wear resistance. The mechanical properties include tensile strength from 550-750 MPa, the yield strength 205 MPa, and a hardness range 50-58 HRC after heat treatment.
