What is Titanium Grade 1 Bars/ Rods?

Titanium Grade 1 is a commercially pure titanium, boasting a minimum of 99.5% Ti, with minimal oxygen and iron content. This unique composition gives it outstanding ductility and resistance to corrosion. It has a tensile strength ranging from about 240 to 360 MPa, a yield strength of around 170 MPa, and an impressive elongation of up to 24%, with a hardness between 70 and 90 HB. It also shows excellent resistance to oxidizing agents, including chlorides and harsh marine environments. While it may not have the highest strength among titanium grades, its exceptional corrosion resistance, ease of cold forming, and weldability make it a fantastic choice for fabrication and chemical processing equipment.
