Titanium Grade 3 is a commercially pure titanium alloy (CP Ti) that boasts at least 99.2% titanium content, along with slightly elevated levels of oxygen and iron compared to Grades 1 and 2. It provides enhanced mechanical strength while still offering solid corrosion resistance. Typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength of about 485 MPa, yield strength of 345 MPa, an elongation of roughly 18%, and a hardness close to 160 HB. While it may not be as formable as Grades 1 and 2, it still possesses good weldability, making it perfect for moderate to high-strength applications in corrosive settings like chemical processing and marine systems.
