Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Bars and Rods are precipitation-hardening alloys consisting mainly of Nickel (7%) and Chromium (17%), along with Aluminum additions. The steel is shown to have tensile strength up to 1250 MPa and yield strength of approximately 1035 MPa when hardened. It has superior mechanical properties up to 600°F (316°C), and good fatigue resistance as well as moderate corrosion resistance. It is usually supplied in Condition A, and may be heat treated to Conditions TH 1050, RH 950, or CH 900 to increase strength and performance in extreme environments.
