They focus on high-temperature and high-strength alloys, providing dependable solutions for various industries like petrochemical, power generation, and thermal processing. Their 316H bars and rods are crafted to meet international standards, making them perfect for structural and pressure applications. With a commitment to technical precision, consistent supply, and a customer-first approach, Chuck Metals plays a vital role in supporting numerous projects throughout Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Stainless Steel 316H Bars and Rods are high-carbon versions of the 316 grade, featuring chromium (16–18%), nickel (10–14%), molybdenum (2–3%), and a carbon content exceeding 0.04% (usually up to 0.10%). This higher carbon content boosts high-temperature strength and creep resistance, making 316H an excellent choice for elevated-temperature applications. These bars boast a tensile strength of around 75 ksi (515 MPa), a yield strength of about 30 ksi (205 MPa), and an elongation of roughly 40%. In addition to their impressive corrosion resistance, 316H bars maintain their mechanical integrity even in high-stress and oxidizing environments.

Stainless Steel 316H has a higher carbon content than regular 316, which provides improved strength and makes it ideal for high-temperature applications. It can withstand higher stress and heat, making it suitable for demanding industries like petrochemical and power generation.
Yes, Stainless Steel 316H is highly resistant to corrosion, especially in chloride-rich and high-temperature environments. The addition of molybdenum enhances its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, making it suitable for marine and chemical industries.
Yes, Stainless Steel 316H is highly weldable, and it retains excellent strength and corrosion resistance even after welding. However, it is recommended to use low-carbon electrodes for welding to maintain its corrosion resistance and structural integrity.
You’ll find Stainless Steel 316H Bars and Rods commonly used in high-temperature and high-pressure settings, such as heat exchangers, boilers, pressure vessels, condensers, and chemical processing equipment. Their ability to resist pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments makes them ideal for marine and offshore applications as well. Industries like oil and gas, energy, and petrochemical sectors depend on 316H for its excellent weldability, mechanical stability, and long-lasting performance under extreme conditions. These rods and bars are particularly prized where both high structural performance and corrosion protection are crucial.
