Stainless Steel 310S Bars and Rods are a low-carbon variant of grade 310, boasting high chromium (24–26%) and nickel (19–22%) content. The lower carbon content (capped at 0.08%) helps reduce carbide precipitation during welding, which in turn boosts resistance to intergranular corrosion. In terms of mechanical properties, these bars and rods offer a tensile strength of around 75 ksi (515 MPa), a yield strength close to 30 ksi (205 MPa), and an elongation of about 40%. This alloy excels in oxidation resistance and maintains its structural integrity in continuous service at temperatures up to 1100°C.
