Its typical makeup features chromium (17–19%), nickel (9–12%), carbon (0.04–0.10%), and titanium (at least five times the carbon content). The increased carbon content enhances its strength at high temperatures and improves creep resistance. In terms of mechanical properties, it boasts a tensile strength of about 75 ksi (515 MPa), a yield strength of 30 ksi (205 MPa), and an elongation of roughly 40%.
