Chuck Metals is a reliable manufacturer and supplier of Aluminium 5005 Forgings based in Singapore, proudly serving clients throughout Pulau Ujong and Southeast Asia with expertly crafted, non-heat-treatable aluminum components. Aluminium 5005 is a magnesium-based alloy celebrated for its balanced strength, outstanding corrosion resistance, and remarkable anodizing properties. This makes it an ideal choice for decorative and architectural projects. Our Aluminium 5005 forgings are produced in accordance with ASTM B247 and other relevant standards, and they come in a variety of shapes and sizes with smooth finishes, ensuring they perform well and are easy to machine.
Typically, Aluminium 5005 Forgings contain about 0.8% magnesium, along with small amounts of iron, silicon, copper, and chromium. The alloy boasts a tensile strength ranging from 170 to 215 MPa, a yield strength of around 110 MPa, and excellent elongation and formability. While it can’t be heat-treated, 5005 can be strengthened through cold working. It shows impressive corrosion resistance in both marine and industrial environments and is known for achieving a consistent, bright anodized finish, making it a top choice for architectural applications.

Aluminum 5005 offers excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, formability, and moderate strength, making it ideal for custom forgings in architectural and marine applications, while providing a smooth, aesthetic finish.
Aluminum 5005 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications. It has moderate strength and good corrosion resistance but lacks the high-temperature stability needed for forging processes.
Aluminum 5005 has good workability, allowing for easy forging. Its moderate strength and excellent corrosion resistance make it suitable for shaping, but it requires careful control of temperature to avoid cracking.
Aluminium 5005 Forgings find their way into a variety of uses, including architectural panels, signage, automotive trims, and appliance components, thanks to their great surface quality and weather resistance. They’re also commonly used in marine hardware, food processing equipment, electrical enclosures, and transportation systems, where moderate strength and corrosion resistance are crucial. Its ability to be anodized for both aesthetic and protective finishes makes Aluminium 5005 particularly favored in both interior and exterior decorative applications, blending durability with visual charm.
