Chuck Metals is a well-respected manufacturer and supplier of Aluminium 5052 Forgings based in Singapore, Pulau Ujong. They specialize in delivering top-notch forged components that are designed to offer outstanding corrosion resistance, strength, and formability. Aluminium 5052 is a non-heat-treatable alloy, primarily made up of magnesium and chromium, which provides excellent resistance to saltwater and marine environments. Chuck Metals takes pride in producing precision-forged Aluminium 5052 parts that meet global industry standards, catering to various sectors such as marine, automotive, architecture, and chemical processing. With a strong commitment to quality, quick turnaround times, and customer-focused solutions, Chuck Metals has become a go-to source for durable and reliable Aluminium 5052 forgings in demanding applications.
Aluminium 5052 Forgings consist mainly of aluminum (95.7–97.7%), with magnesium (2.2–2.8%) and chromium (0.15–0.35%) as the key alloying elements. This alloy is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in marine settings, along with good fatigue strength and moderate tensile strength, which typically falls between 210–260 MPa. While Aluminium 5052 is non-heat-treatable, it can be strengthened through cold working. It also boasts great weldability and formability, making it perfect for creating complex shapes and structures.

Aluminum 5052 offers excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, good weldability, and formability. It's lightweight, durable, resistant to stress cracking, and performs well in marine and industrial environments, making it ideal for custom forgings.
Aluminum 5052 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications due to its relatively low melting point and poor high-temperature strength. Alloys like 7075 or 2011 are better suited for such applications.
Aluminum 5052 has excellent workability, making it suitable for forging. Its low-to-medium strength, good corrosion resistance, and formability allow for ease in shaping, reducing the risk of cracking during forging.
Aluminium 5052 Forgings find their way into a variety of applications where corrosion resistance and moderate strength are crucial. You’ll often see them in marine hardware, boat hulls, pressure vessels, fuel tanks, transportation equipment, and architectural structures. Its remarkable resistance to saltwater makes it an ideal choice for offshore and coastal environments, while its formability allows for a range of fabricated parts in the automotive and construction industries. The balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and workability in Aluminium 5052 makes it a dependable material for both functional and structural components in tough and demanding conditions.
