Chuck Metals is a well-respected manufacturer and supplier of Aluminium 6061 Forgings based in Singapore, Pulau Ujong. They’re known for delivering top-notch forged components that are versatile and boast impressive mechanical properties. Aluminium 6061 is a precipitation-hardened alloy that strikes a great balance between strength, corrosion resistance, and weldability. Chuck Metals specializes in producing precision-forged parts that cater to a variety of industries, including aerospace, marine, automotive, and construction. With a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring timely deliveries, Chuck Metals has earned a solid reputation as a reliable source for Aluminium 6061 Forgings across a broad spectrum of demanding applications.
Aluminium 6061 Forgings mainly consist of aluminium, with magnesium (0.8–1.2%) and silicon (0.4–0.8%) being the key alloying elements. This blend provides excellent corrosion resistance along with moderate to high strength. Typically, the mechanical properties feature a tensile strength of about 290 MPa and a yield strength of roughly 240 MPa in the T6 temper, along with good fatigue resistance and an elongation of around 8–10%. The alloy is not only heat-treatable and weldable but also showcases outstanding workability, making it ideal for forging intricate shapes and components with precise tolerances.

Aluminum 6061 offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, machinability, weldability, and thermal conductivity, making it ideal for custom forgings in aerospace, automotive, and structural applications.
Aluminum 6061 is not ideal for high-temperature forging due to its lower melting point and limited high-temperature strength. It is better suited for structural applications, not extreme heat environments.
Aluminum 6061's workability allows for easier forging, as it has good formability, high strength, and excellent machinability. It requires careful temperature control to avoid cracking during the forging process.
Thanks to their reliable strength-to-weight ratio and exceptional corrosion resistance, Aluminium 6061 Forgings are widely used in structural and mechanical parts, such as aircraft fittings, marine hardware, automotive chassis, bicycle frames, and pipeline components. Their superior machinability and finish also make them perfect for precision-engineered parts in robotics, electronics, and high-performance machinery. These forgings perform exceptionally well in outdoor and marine environments, ensuring long-lasting durability. The combination of easy fabrication and consistent mechanical performance makes Aluminium 6061 Forgings a top choice for engineers and manufacturers around the globe.
